Electric Heat Rate
(Without Central Air Conditioning)
I. Applicability
Available to all members of the
Cooperative receiving electric service under any of the Cooperative’s
residential service rate schedule, or members of the Cooperative with an
all-electric commercial building receiving electric service under any of the
Cooperative’s demand rate schedules, or members of the Cooperative with an
all-electric commercial building with the exception that gas may be used for
a decorative fire place, outdoor barbeque grill, range, or completely
separated warehouse receiving electric service under the Cooperative’s
general service rate schedule. This rate applies to any type of electric
heat when there is no central air conditioner installed. Subject to the
established rules of the Cooperative.
II. Terms And Conditions
- The Cooperative shall provide the member with a meter and
meter base to separately record the electric heating usage.
- The member shall be responsible for the installation of the
meter base and all metering wiring.
- All usage will be billed at the master meter rate except
those kWh’s recorded by the electric heat meter.
- This rate is applicable where there is no central air
conditioner. If an air conditioner is installed, it must be controlled by
the Cooperative’s load management system and be billed under Rider EA..
- This rate is applied to electric heating usage during the
eight (8) winter months as defined in the rate schedule applicable to the
master meter.

IV. Taxes
An amount equal to the taxes assessed
by any taxing authority or agency of government for the sale or furnishing
of electric energy and/or service by the Cooperative to the consumer shall
be paid by the consumer to the Cooperative.
V. Minimum Charge
All charges under this rider will be
applied to the master meter account charges to determine whether a minimum
is applicable.
