Electric Heat and Air Conditioning Rate
I. Applicability
Available to all members of the
Cooperative receiving electric service under the Cooperative’s residential
service rate schedule, or members of the Cooperative with an all-electric
commercial building receiving electric service under any of the
Cooperative’s demand rate schedules, or members of the Cooperative with an
all-electric commercial building with the exception that gas may be used for
a decorative fire place, outdoor barbeque grill, range, or completely
separated warehouse receiving electric service under the Cooperative’s
general service rate schedule. This rate applies to any type of electric
heat when there is a central air conditioner installed. Subject to the
established rules of the Cooperative.
II. Terms And Conditions

All
electric heat and air conditioning kWh shall be separately metered by the
Cooperative.

The
Cooperative shall provide the member with a meter, meter base and load
management switch to separately record the electric heating and air
conditioning usage.

The
member shall be responsible for the installation of the meter base and the
load management switch.

All
electric usage will be billed at the master meter rate except the kWh
recorded by the heat/air conditioning meter.

The
member shall allow the air conditioner compressor to be cycled during
periods of peak demand.

This
rate applies to all twelve (12) billing months for submetered kWh only.

This is
an electric heating rate. Failure to use the electric heating system as
the primary heat system will cause this rate to be withdrawn.

This
rate may be withdrawn if there is evidence of tampering with the load
control device or control wiring.
- The electric load provided
through the separate meter pursuant to this rider shall only be used to
operate the central heat and air conditioning unit that controls the
climate of the building. The separately metered line shall not be
connected to any other outlet or used for any other purpose.

VI. Winter/Summer Definition
As defined in master meter rate schedule.
V. Taxes
An amount equal to the taxes assessed
by any taxing authority or agency of government for the sale or furnishing
of electric energy and/or service by the Cooperative to the consumer shall
be paid by the consumer to the Cooperative.
VI. Minimum Charge
All charges
under this rider will be applied to the master meter account charges to
determine whether a minimum is applicable.
